How are the Facilities allowed to compound this drug?
Because the drugs are listed on the FDA shortage list, a 503b FDA registered facility is allowed to compound drugs in shortage
What happens when the drug is removed from the shortage list?
The drugs have been on the shortage list since 2022. WHEN the drugs are removed from the FDA shortage list, compounding the drug will not be allowed.
I have read about issues with compounded products, what makes your product different?
Our product comes directly from a 503b registered facility
How will the patient know how to properly use the medication?
Prior to leaving the pharmacy, the patient will sit with our pharmacist for a 15 minute consultation on how to properly inject the medication and review common side effects.
